Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Halfmoon Bay Station 12

RCMSAR Station 12 serves Halfmoon Bay and the Sunshine Coastโ€”supporting marine emergencies with a trained volunteer crew

Supported by the Sunshine Coast Marine Rescue Society, our mission is to keep the Sunshine Coast safe on the water through a trained volunteer rescue crewโ€”ready 24/7 to respond to emergencies, support our partners, and bring people home.

Saving Lives On The Water

Safer boating starts before you leave the dock. Through outreach and free, invitation-only Pleasure Craft Safety Checks, we help operators spot gaps and reduce preventable risk.

We Rescue

Station 12 provides 24/7 on-water search and rescue for the lower Sunshine Coast. When the call comes, we launch fast and work safely to bring people home.

We Educate

Station 12 is powered by local volunteersโ€”23 active crew and 5 support members. With dedicated training leaders and coxswains, we stay ready year-round.

We Support

Strong response starts with a strong community. We support mariners, boaters, and families with practical guidance, prevention programs, and help when it matters most.
